25 Anos DEI-FCTUC (25th Aniversary of DEI-FCTUC) is a visual identity system bid made for the Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI) of the University of Coimbra.
I made this bid together with Sérgio Rebelo.
Since this department has the courses of Computer Science and Design + Multimedia, the identity bid is based in the history of digital typography. In that sense, and basing our vector encoding typeface on Titling Gothic by Font Bureau, we designed the pixel and the run-length coding versions.
As final result, the logo is a combination of the three versions of digital typography (pixel, run-lenght coding and vector encoding).
